Update on Children's Ministry:
Dear Church Family,

We are excited to inform you that the Children’s Ministry here at Calvary Chapel Murphy will begin a phased re-opening on Sunday, June 7th during our regularly scheduled Sunday Service. We want you to know that your child’s health and safety is as important to us as their spiritual growth. After prayerful consideration, and in accordance with the recommendations of the NCDHHS (North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services), we have decided to proceed with a limited re-opening of our Children’s ministry. The following changes to our Children’s ministry will allow us to meet the safety guidelines set forth by the NCDHHS for similar child care settings. *Children’s Church will be available during our Sunday service for school aged children in Kindergarten and older. Rising Kindergarteners (preschoolers who will be starting Kindergarten this year) are welcome to attend Children’s Church. Childcare will not be provided during Saturday evening services.

*Parents/guardians are asked to maintain 6ft of space between your family and other families as you wait in line to sign children into and out of children’s church. Marks will be placed on the floor to assist with spacing. Please do not permit children to run around the church before or after service.

*As always, we ask that you do not bring sick children to church. Children participating in children’s church must not be exhibiting any symptoms of sickness, including sore throat, cough, runny nose, upset stomach, and especially fever. Because we know that illness can easily spread among children within a family, we also ask that otherwise healthy children stay at home if they have been in contact with a sick family member.

In order to better protect your children we are taking the following measures…

*We have significantly increased our cleaning protocol within the children’s ministry area. Details of this cleaning protocol are available upon request. Frequent handwashing and the use of hand sanitizer will be encouraged. (Please notify a children’s ministry volunteer if your child has any allergies or sensitivities that may be adversely affected by handwashing or sanitizer products and we will ensure your child is accommodated).

*Children’s ministry volunteers will wear face masks while caring for your children. Children are not required to wear face masks, but may do so at the discretion of their parent or guardian. For the time being, we will not operate with a rotating volunteer team. Instead your child will be cared for by the same group of volunteers on a weekly basis.

*Group seating and activity tables have been replaced by individually spaced tray tables and chairs. Each child will have their own work station, Bible, and school/craft supplies so that they do not need to share supplies. In the event that our children’s ministry reaches capacity, older children (5th and 6th graders) may be asked to attend Sunday service with their parent or guardian.

*The only snacks provided will come in individually wrapped packaging that can be pre-sanitized and will be carefully distributed by a children’s ministry volunteer. Whole, washed fruit and small bottles of water will also be provided.

*The Children’s ministry area will be open to on-duty children’s ministry volunteers, children and their parents or guardians ONLY during Sunday services. All other visitors to children’s ministry are asked to wait until all children have been dismissed before entering the children’s ministry area.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding children’s Ministry please contact Bill or Mandy Tramontozzi via call or text at (508) 287-1566 or e-mail mandyt2@yahoo.com.

Thank you and God bless!
